The journal is published three times a year by Routledge (Taylor & Francis), and is indexed in the Arts & Humanities Citation Index (Web of Science). It was founded by Professor Susan Hayward in 1999, and has been in publication since 2000. The journal’s Editorial and Advisory Boards comprise prominent academics from France and the UK, as well as Australia, Canada, and the United States.

Articles should be submitted to Routledge’s electronic submission system, Editorial Manager. Proposals for guest-edited special issues, stating the topic, the rationale, and the abstracts for an issue of approximately 50,000 words should be sent to the Chief General Editor, Phil Powrie.
